Here are a few examples of cocktails we created for customers.
Fontaine de Jouvence
We were asked by Newad to create a new cocktail using Cointreau Liqueur and Perrier for l'Aperitif a la Francaise. It needed to feature a pure and classy presentation while enhancing Cointreau's and Perrier's amazing characteristics. Our original suggestion was to garnish with one Raspberry and one Kumquat, however the Kumquat has been removed from the recipe to be published by the SAQ... although it can be purchased in most grocery stores, only a few people really know this fruit.
1 oz Cointreau Liqueur
3 oz Perrier
6 Fresh Raspberries
1 Kumquat
Pink Himalayan Salt
Slightly slice the Kumquat and slide it around the martini glass, then rim with Pink Himilayan Salt. Shake the Cointreau and 5 raspberries very well with ice. Filter in a Martini glass and add the Perrier to activate the Fontaine de Jouvence. Garnish with a Raspberry and the Kumquat on a stick.
Special Crea
Our customer was Newad, in charge of promoting the Perrier brand in Quebec and Ontario. They wanted a custom cocktail for the 2011 Crea Gala, a cocktail that would make people discover how Perrier can be used to make great cocktails. In this particular case we have been using molecular mixology to garnish the cocktail with rose wine and strawberry pearls.
1 oz Signature Vodka
1/4 oz Strawberry Liquor
2 oz Perrier
5 Fresh Basil Leaves
5 Fresh Strawberry Slices
5 Rose Wine and Strawberry Pearls
Shake together the Vodka, Strawberry Liquor, Fresh Strawberries and Fresh Basil Leaves, poor and strain in a martini glass. Top with Perrier, garnish with pearls, one strawberry slice and one basil leaf.
Perrier Fraîcheur
Again for the same customer and contract, we decided to create a second cocktail revealing the perfect match between Perrier and Freshness.
1 oz Pear Vodka
1/2 oz Midori Melon Liquor
3 oz Perrier
Splash of Lime Cordial
2 pinches of freshly ground Black Pepper
3 Fresh Minth Leaves
Fresh Slice of Pear
Shake very well Pear Vodka, Midori, Lime Cordial, Minth Leaves and Black Pepper with ice and pour without filtering into a Collins or Zombie Glass. Top with Perrier and garnish with the pear slice and a minth leaf.
Signature Perrier Martini
The last cocktail our customer wanted to offer was a simple vodka martini with Perrier. We took the liberty to suggest an improved version of our own that would enhance the refined taste of Perrier-Lemon and Signature Vodka.
1 1/2 oz Signature Vodka
2 oz Perrier Lemon
Lemon Wheel dipped one hour in Dry Vermouth
1 Fresh Endive Leaf
Lay Endive leaf in the martini glass, then drop the lemon wheel on it, at the bottom of the glass. Gently mix Signature Vodka with ice to cool it down without watering it. Pour without ice on the lemon wheel to extract the citrus and vermouth flavors. Add the Perrier Lemon and let it do its magic.
Saint-Laurent Cruise on a Sunny Day
For the Ministère du Tourisme du Québec, we had to create two cocktails for an event happening in Quebec City and regrouping 1500 from everywhere around the world. The idea was to promote the Province and more specifically one product: cruises on the Saint-Laurent River. Our first creation was emphasing on that product, suggesting the Saint-Laurent River overlooked by a bright, sunny sky. We used a two layers construction to create that effect.
1 oz White Rhum
1 oz Blue Curacao
1/2 oz Malibu
3 oz Orange Juice
2 oz Cranberry Juice
1) Blue Layer: mix Blue Curacao and Cranberry Juice, then poor with ice in the glass.
2)Yellow Layer: mix White Rhum, Malibu and Orange Juice, then filter and poor slowly in the glass to avoid mixing both layers. Garnish with an orange wheel and a blueberry.
Marvelous Québec Martini
We used two famous local products in our second cocktail: Maple and Blueberries. We also made sure to use an excellent local Vodka called Signature Vodka.
1 1/2 oz Signature Vodka
1 oz Geai Bleu (alcohol made of maple and blueberries)
2 oz of Natural Blueberry Juice
5 fresh Blueberries
Mix well with ice and filter in a Martini glass, garnish with fresh Blueberries on a stick.
Avec-Flair has been asked by a customer to create three cocktails representing three logos of the Carat marketing agency. The first logo was using a mix of darker and lighter blue. The second one was was fusioning red, orange and yellow colors. The last one was green and blue. Our customer wanted to offer Carat two cocktails and one mocktail (no alcohol). It was quite a challenge, exactly as we like them!
Pictures on the left show the Carat Signature and Fusion 24 Carats cocktails. The three recipes are detailed in the menu above.
